[VOL] Volunteer Opportunity - Peer Power Mentoring Program for HS students with disabilities

Dear MSOE Students:

I would like to share a volunteer opportunity with you within the
Milwaukee Area.  The Peer Power Mentoring Program offers high school
students with disabilities a college student mentor to help ease their
transition into college, independent living, and/or employment.  We
currently have about 10 mentor matches in the area and are currently
seeking more college student mentors to meet the demand.  We would like
to have MSOE students participate in this program also.  If you or a
student you know is interested in participating, please contact us.  We
are looking to find the mentors before the fall semester begins.

Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity that offers you
valuable experience for the future?

*       The Peer Power Mentor Program will give you the opportunity to
mentor a college-bound high school student with a disability. 

*       Mentors will help prepare high school students for life after
graduation. 

*       No prior mentoring experience is necessary.   

*       Volunteer hours may contribute to course credit and/or service
hours depending upon arrangement.

*        Stipends are available to fund activities for you and your
mentee.
