Thanks to all those who attended our Wednesday night SUB meeting.
For those who couldn't make it, be sure to attend next time!
 
 
Cinco de Mayo SUB Member Party
 
Join us on Sunday, May 5th from 4pm to 7pm for the SUB end of the year
party.  We will have a piñata, play pin the tail on the donkey, do the
limbo, and eat some great Mexican food!
 
Other Upcoming Events
 
WLC DANCE (Friday, April 26, 8pm-12am):
-Here is a great opportunity to meet people from another school and to
get your groove on.  If you need a ride, sign up at the CC Info desk.
 
BATTLE OF THE BANDS (Saturday, May 4, 8pm):
-A few people signed up to help out with Battle of the Bands sponsored
by GMCA.  If anyone else is interested in helping, email minorm at msoe.edu
<mailto:minorm at msoe.edu>  by Monday.  Be sure to attend this event where
there will be many great bands performing.
 
Planning for Next Year
 
BUDGET:
- SUB has submitted our budget proposal for next year, and we will be
having our budget hearing with SGA on Friday.
 
PRESIDENT'S PICNIC:
-We are looking for ideas on items (with the SUB logo) to give away at
the President's Picnic in the fall.  Some of the ideas include:  can
koozies, chip clips, slinkies & paddle balls.  Our goal is to hook
students, especially freshmen, next year to become part of the SUB team.
We need an item that is creative, different, useful and/or fun.  If you
have a great idea let us know!
 
HOMECOMING & OTHER MAJOR EVENTS:
-We would like to have experienced SUB members team up with a couple of
newer members and lead the way planning & preparing for events, with the
help of the executive board and our advisor of course.  Be thinking
about how you would like to help.  Specifically, we will need people to
be in charge of a individual day for homecoming and chairs for the
individual events.  Early next year we would like to be able to have
people in charge of Cultural Spirit week, A&E week, movie nights,
weekend activities, etc.  It doesn't mean you will have to do all the
work, it just means we are giving you the responsibility to make sure
the work gets done.
 
#1 Goal
 
We want to have a fun, energetic and hard working team next year that
brings MSOE some great events for all our students.  That is why it will
be especially important to get freshmen to become active members of our
team in the fall.  The key to our success is our members, the more we
have the more we can accomplish!
