MFSO Meeting Monday, December 03, 2007

 

MFSO Had it's first official meeting today at 1:00pm in CC 35.  All meetings for MFSO during the winter term will be held there, at that time, unless otherwise specified.

 

Milwaukee Vex League Competition

            Most of you volunteered at the event on Sunday, December 2nd, and saw what a success it was.  36 teams participated, with students ranging from elementary to high school.  While we did have a few technical errors, the event ran pretty smoothly.

            In Addition, the Milwaukee Vex League has grown and is now officially the Midwest Vex League.

 

Machine Shop Certification:  

            Eric Hoffman is scheduling a time for non-certified individuals to be certified.  We'll have a time next Monday.  If you're not certified, watch for emails on times.  If you can't make the times, you'll have to email Roger individually.

 

VIP Dinner

            Late March, 5:30pm - 9:00pm

We discussed holding it in the Todd Wehr Auditorium again, since it worked quite well last year.

 

            FRC Schedule:

                        Milwaukee Regional is March 13th thru 15th.

                        MSOE Spring break begins 20th

                        West Michigan is 20th - 22nd 

                        Great Lakes is 27th - 29th

                        MSOE Spring break ends 30th

                        Championship Event is April 17th thru 19th.

            

            Key Note Speaker:  NOT the governor.  Someone in science and technology would be preferred.  Preferably the owner of a large company, or someone who employs a large quantity of people.
