Hello Everyone!!!
MFSO has the opportunity to get backstage passes for 8 individuals to
Walking with the Dinosaurs before the 7pm show on Friday December 7th.
(Yes, this is the night of the homecoming dance) We also have the
opportunity to obtain 4 regular admission tickets for each of the
following shows:
Dec 5th 7pm
Dec 6th 7pm
Dec 7th, 1030am, 7pm
Dec 8th, 3pm, 7pm
Dec 9th 1pm
MSOE is sponsoring Walking with the Dinosaurs through the Bradley
Center. This is the first time a sponsorship like this has occurred, so
both MSOE and the Bradley Center are excited about the possibilities of
this new partnership. MSOE will be setting up 3 8ft. tables
demonstrating various aspects of Robotics and would like the MFSO's
assistance in demonstrating robotics to the public before the shows and
during intermission. Show times are 105 minutes long and intermission
lasts 15 minutes.
To obtain tickets for this amazing show
(http://www.bradleycenter.com/dinos/dinospublic.htm) MSOE is looking for
volunteers to come and staff tables. You would be allowed to enter the
show right after everyone else, and the admissions staff and faculty
will watch over our tables during the show. This is a great opportunity
for both MSOE and the MFSO, plus we'll get the opportunity to see the
show, and the backstage passes. Priority on the backstage passes will
be given to whomever volunteers for the most shows. Right now, I'm
looking for two individuals to staff the table for each performance
except the 1030am show on Friday the 7th.
I apologize for the short notice but I need your replies by tomorrow
morning with your availability to volunteer for this opportunity.
Enrollment management and faculty have been made aware of our interest,
so let's get together for this great opportunity to promote robotics!
If the spots cannot be filled, enrollment management will likely contact
sponsored FIRST teams to fill our vacancy. If you have any knowledge of
FIRST teams that would be willing to volunteer for this event, please
forward any available information to me ASAP. On-site storage *should*
be available although I haven't gotten confirmation on that yet.
That's all for now!!!
