We did an overview of FIRST and MFSO. 

What is the MFSO?
MFSO stands for the Milwaukee FIRST Support Organization. We are a group of engineering and business students from the Milwaukee School of Engineering that support FIRST Robotics teams by offering engineering background, technical assistance, and guidance.

We mainly mentor existing FIRST teams and offer them support.  We also help design and run a vex competition.

What is FIRST?

FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST's mission is to design programs to build self-confidence, knowledge and life skills while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology, and engineering. This year we will be dividing into subgroups. We will come together to meet as a large group about once a month or so. The subgroups will decide when they want to meet. Subgroups leaders will be filled by appointment from the president. If you are interested in joining or leading a subgroup please let us know. 

Subgroups include:

*	VIP dinner - hosting a social event to get local government, community leaders, school boards, parents, students, and teachers involved and interested in FIRST 
*	Ice robot/shop certification - construction of promotional, non-competitive robots and other robot related side projects. 
*	Public Relations - Finding storage space, recruitment throughout school and community, continue to work on the scholarship, secure funding. 
*	VEX competition - volunteering at league nights, helping organize and run the competition in December.

We are taking nominations for President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Anyone can nominate themselves or someone else. Nominations can either be given at the meeting or emailed. Positions are open to all but the President must either have FRC experience or not be a freshman. 
Summary of roles: President is in charge of running the club, making sure all school requirements are meet and everything is run smoothly. The Vice-president assists the president. Secratary takes minutes and is in charge of promotional displays. Treasurer handles all accounts and securind funding.
